Not having a door trim for a month or so now was getting annoying.
Driver door window switch not working.
No arm rest no door pocket dangling window switch.
All the wiring for driver s and passenger s windows runs through the master switch.
I thought this was the sign of a dead regulator so i replaced that.
So much easier to work with than the old scissor mechanisms.
Remove the old unit and installing the new was a breeze.
If motor grunts and does not move verify that regulator is not binding if that is okay you want to check the switch 1 remove the desired switch to be tested from the door trim panel.
What year is your lucerne.
06 buick lucerne cxl front driver side window will not raise or lower.
2 using an ohmmeter test driver door switch for.
All other windows work fine.
I checked all fuses even 68 relay but still could not find problem i drove 18 miles in 30 degree weather at nite got home and was very confused with this truck.
So i put the motor in and the window still doesn.
I used a cordless driver with a 10mm socket to speed thing up.
The first thing you need to do is to check for.
I replaced the switch and window still doesn t work.
Is this your first time dealing with this issue.
I know that the new one works because i tested it on the passenger side which does work.
The switch for the passenger window does work though as well as the power locks and power mirror adjusters so i know the door has power.
So last night i tackled the job.
Power window motors only have two wires.
Driver s side master or passenger side.
When passenger windows don t work but the driver s window does chances are high that you ve got a bad master switch in the driver s door or a broken wire in the driver s door hinge area.
