As i m experimenting with different papers i m finding it isn t so much. White paper is a blank sheet that lets you print nearly any color of the rainbow on it. Foil and engraving are wonderful options when trying to print white on black for invitations. Do you know if this same project would work on black cardstock.

Let the printing dry completely before stacking anything on top of the foil paper which may take up to 30 minutes. Printing black business cards takes special consideration as most pantone inks are transparent and disappear into the black paper surface. Foil screen print and emboss are the only printing processes available on our premium black stocks. Yes it is bit more of an investment than traditional letterpress printing on white paper but the finished product is oh so dreamy. It works great with thick papers and heavy textures and we love to give it a bump with an embossing plate too to create a raised printing effect. Digital printing can work on black paper as well if you re going for a super covert black on black look.

The printer ink in your computer is dye based and when you print the dye adheres to the surface of the paper or card stock. Our premium black cards are a premium product due to the high quality and caliber of card that is used as well as the higher production costs from foiling embossing rather than printing. Also if you buy black paper and print on it and foil does that work or does the foil adhere to the black paper.
