There shall be a floor or landing on each side of a door.
R311 3 floors and landings at exterior doors there shall be a landing or floor on each side of.
Step down on the interior and up to two steps down to the landing on the exterior regardless of which way the door swings it can only swing over one step.
Where a door opens over a landing the landing shall be at least as wide as the door and at least 5 feet long.
Such floor or landing shall be at the same elevation on each side of the door.
